Pantropical Encounters

There is always something special about dolphin encounters in the wild. Something about the shared curiosity between humans and dolphins enables photographers to capture some incredible moments. Observing the intelligence of these mammals is a truly fascinating experience. This day, a small pod of Pantropical dolphins briefly posed for the photograph. To capture these moments successfully, I allow the dolphins to dictate the encounter, rather than approaching them; it is best to let nature come to you. Sometimes the encounters are brief and the lighting isn't good enough to capture anything, while other times they become curious and it's almost as if they're welcoming me into the pod.
