The iconic Horseshoe Bend of the Colorado River provided a stunning backdrop at sunset. The warm hues of the descending sun illuminated the sky in a vibrant palette of oranges, pinks, and purples. As I prepared my camera, excitement surged through me. I had long heard tales of Horseshoe Bend, and now I was there to photograph it. My wide angle composition included the entire landscape, the river, and the endless sky. The stillness of the river, the dramatic river curves, and the ever-shifting sky all harmonized perfectly.
